Welcome to Caskets Direct
Know your rights and choices when buying a casket and planning a funeral
At some point in all of our lives we are going to experience death. More than likely, most of us will also be involved in making final arrangements for either ourselves or for a loved one. This may be done before death by pre-need planning or at-need, during the time of a loved one’s death
Please accept our condolences if you are currently at-need and have received this publication at a time of sorrow and loss in your life.
Whether your need is right now or in the future, there are important things for you to know and consider when making funeral arrangements. For many years funeral goods and services were available only through funeral homes with little or no regulation by the federal government. In recent years though, that has changed with the federal law known as the “Funeral Rule”. Enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Funeral Rule is a broad and sweeping piece of legislation that strictly regulates funeral homes for the purpose of protecting consumers’ rights and allowing for consumers to have a choice of funeral products and services at competitive prices and quality in the marketplace.
